Electrical Industry Apprenticeship Program

The Kern County Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee (JATC) is currently accepting applications for the Inside Electrical Wireman Program. The Inside Electrical Wireman Program is a five-year training program incorporating on-the-job training and supplemental classroom related instruction. All applicants must meet the following basic requirements and provide the following documentation.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age at time of application
  2. Valid Driver’s license or other Government-issued Identification
  3. OFFICIAL, SEALED IDGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT or GED Equivalency
  4. OFFICIAL, SEALED TRANSCRIPT showing one of the following:
    A. Two semesters of High School Algebra with a passing grade of “C” or better
    B. One semester of College Algebra with a passing grade of “C” or better
    C. Successful completion of the NJATC On-Line Tech Math Course
  5. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
