Their industry expertise benefits everyone working on an electrical construction project. Therefore, a mission of NECA is to “attract, develop and retain the best talent” in each integral part of the electrical industry. NECA contractors set industry standards for traditional and integrated electrical systems. They lead the industry in the practical application of new technologies, policies and standards.

NECA is dedicated to enhancing the industry through continuing education, labor relations, access to the most current information, promotional activities, and collaboration with world-class partners to advance our industry. It is also working to promote higher standards, quality workmanship, training, and invest in our people and industry to leave the world a safer and better place for future generations.

At all levels, NECA also provides non-labor relations type services that include detailed electronic and print publications such as EC magazine and various diverse workshops across the nation on evidence-based research industry trends and latest member needs. Working for a brighter future for the industry, NECA is a co-sponsor of the Electrical Training ALLIANCE for the electrical industry. Today, the electrical training ALLIANCE has developed into the largest apprenticeship and training program of its kind, having trained over 350,000 apprentices to journeyman status through local affiliate programs.
